Department: Public Works

Mission Statement: The Public Works Department is responsible for all endeavors relating to planning, designing, operating, maintaining, and managing public ways, park lands, public grounds, recreation fields, water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, building facilities maintenance and the recycling of residential yard waste. The Department also provides engineering support services to other town departments. The Department of Public Works is committed to providing, maintaining, and improving Public Services for the economy, growth, and quality of life for the citizens of East Longmeadow.
